Job Description

DV Cleared – Interim Programme Manager – £850 p/day West Brompton, London – 12-month contract – 5 days per week onsite – Start ASAPReed Talent Solutions are working with Counter Terrorism Policing who are looking to recruit Programme Manager with active DV Clearance on a 12-month contract.The post holder will work flexibly across the National CT Policing and Protection Commands change portfolio as required by the CTPHQ Head of PPMS and may work on or provide oversight of a given programme or projects at any time depending on the scale andcomplexity of change involved. Counter Terrorism Policing is a collaboration of UK police forces working with the UK intelligence communityto help protect the public and our national security by preventing, deterring and investigating terrorist activity.Job Summary/Key TasksWorking within the Counter Terrorism Policing Headquarters (CTPHQ) Change Pillar, the Programme Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of National and/or London Region Counter Terrorism Policing change programme(s), as deployed by the Headof Project & Programme Management Services (Head of PPMS), CTPHQ.Skills

  • Excellent managerial and leadership skills.
  • Ability to self-task based on strategic direction, ensuring the delivery of the given scope of work of their programme(s), on time and to budget in accordance with the programme plan.
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills at a senior level, geared to deliver outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and senior stakeholder engagement skills including experience in developing briefings for senior management.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills required to troubleshoot programmes
  • Develop programme level business cases (as designed by the CTPHQ project and programme lifecycle), coordinate approvals and sign off for business cases and their subsequent successful delivery.
Essentials Experience
  • Previous experience of working in (local) government, a security agency or policing is essential.
  • Experience of working in and delivering collaborative, multi-agency / joint programmes (or complex projects) into multiple business units / businesses, with hybrid team construct.
  • Experience in managing an organisational change
  • Operating within a project / programme delivery environment with personal responsibility for delivering against a defined plan
  • Experience in establishing an effective governance model
  • Experience of actively and effectively managing risks, issues, dependencies and assumptions
  • Experience in supplier and contract management, in a change programme context
  • Experience in business case development and assessment, planning and the application of good practice processes
  • Experience in delivering programmes constituted of multiple workstreams
