Job Description

OverviewAs a Personal Assistant (PA) you will work closely with the Chairman to provide organisational and administrative support in an efficient manner.You will be required to appraise yourself of key personnel, and understand and assist in achieving the company’s key aims and objectives.The Chairman will rely heavily upon you, trusting that work will be handled efficiently in his absence. Discretion and confidentiality are therefore essential attributes.Chetwood Wealth Management is part of the Langley Marsh Group, owned by the Chairman. Ability to travel between our Wellington office and Porlock, is essential.ResponsibilitiesAs a PA, you will often act as the Chairman’s first point of contact, both internally and externally. Tasks are likely to include:

  • Documentation of file notes following client or company contact and debriefs from the Chairman
  • Arranging travel / accommodation for the Chairman.
  • Screening phone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling them when appropriate.
  • Meeting and greeting visitors.
  • Organising and maintaining diaries and making appointments.
  • Organising events as required.
  • Dealing with incoming email and post, often corresponding on behalf of the Chairman, ensuring all emails are dealt with as required.
  • Carrying out background research and presenting the results.
  • Ensuring all meeting packs for clients are fully prepared (to include New Business and Review process).
  • Liaising with clients, suppliers and other staff. Ensure that significant risk issues are referred to the Chairman where appropriate.
  • Make a constructive contribution to the continuing development of the role and Chetwood Wealth Management, other group companies and close link firms.
  • Knowledge, Skills, Experience
  • Proven work experience as a Personal Assistant (references will be taken up.)
  • Good typing/Pitman’s Shorthand speeds required
  • Demonstrate excellent IT skills and ability to learn new ones.
  • Analytical in solving tasks with a keen attention for detail
  • Possess excellent organisational and time management skills with an ability to work under pressure and prioritise
