Smart Solutions are looking for a 3.5T van driver to work for our client based out of Waterton Industrial estate in Bridgend, our client is a leading parcel distributor. This is ongoing temporary work however a permanent position may become available forthe right candidate.Main DutiesYou will start work between 09.00am and 10.00am in the depot, where you will scan parcels and load on to your vehicle ready to be delivered.Your first drop off and pick up will be around midday, working hours can be anywhere between 8 to 10 hour shifts.As a Driver you will be required to make deliveriesto small local stores this can be between 10 to 15 drops per day, once you have made your deliveries to the store you will then be required to scan any parcels that were not collected and return to the depot.Full on the job training will be given, this will include on the hand held scanner, and being shown what the position entails by going out with another driver to be shown the ropes of the job.Working shiftsThe working days for this role will be Thursday to Saturday however our client runs a 6 day a week operation so extra shifts will come available during peak seasons for those who want extra shifts.Requirements
