Five Education is working with an alternative provision in Kingswood and is recruiting tutors. You will be working with students who have a range of learning disabilities, and are currently attending college to pursue vocational courses and other supplementalcourses such as life skills. The ideal candidates for this role will have experience supporting secondary learners, and ideally those with SEND.Responsibilities and duties:Leading lessons in subjects such as Maths and English Supporting small classes and tailoring the curriculum to ensure the learners both understand the content and can finish the course with the necessary qualifications to benefit them in the futureYou may need to speak to parents/carers depending on the ages of your studentsYou may be working with additional support staff within the college, and have them in class as they provide additional support to studentsTaking pupils on visits, trips and out of school activities as requiredEssential Criteria:A flexible and resourceful approachAble to work 9am-12m, at least 3 days per week term time onlyA post-16 qualification or a secondary teaching qualification.At least 12 months experience supporting secondary aged children/ young people in an educational, care or coaching environmentAccess to bicycle, car or near main bus routes.Two recent child/vulnerable adult based references and relevant DBS/Police checksHave a right to work in the UK (A Valid Visa)What can Five Education offer youCompetitive rates of pay for these roles (Min of £18 per hour to £25 )One of the best supply experiences in Bristol - check out our google reviews!Free specialised, in-person training in areas such as Team Teach, Makaton, PMLD/SLD Awareness, Autism Awareness, and more.
