SEN Teacher

Are you a qualified teacher, with extensive experience working with special education needs This would be a fantastic opportunity for you to continue your teaching career. You will be teaching students in key stages 2, the school provides learning and supportive environment activities to 20-25 children with Autistic Spectrum Conditions.There will be an opportunity to teach students in key stage 3 and 4, who are working at primary level.This specialist school uses a therapeutic approach, it is essential you can bring a nurturing, patient attitude to work, and be mouldable. Students may demonstrate challenging behaviour, meaning you must be able to handlethese situations calmly and effectively.You will be delivering lessons including maths, English, science, PSHE, ITC, arts or humanities, all of which you will be working closely with fellow teacher to plan engaging lessons accessible for all students. The curriculum is modelled around primary, so it is important you have excellent knowledge of this.You will have a full understanding of the statutory framework within which teachers work and apply this, in order to enable students to flourish and develop. You must have a proven record of working with children and young people with a wide range of specialeducational needs, including those with autism and social, emotional and mental health difficulties.
