Job Description

One Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for experienced Machine Operators for our client based in the Cumbernauld area who have experienced considerable growth over the last 12 months with forecasts of future growth.For these roles, our client is looking for ambitious candidates who have a proven track record of working in a manufacturing environment who are familiar with manufacturing practices.Key responsibilities:

  • To use manufacturing equipment to create industrial moulded pulp packaging products.
  • To become familiar with pulp mixing, thermoforming, product calibration processes.
  • To perform and record daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checks.
  • To perform processing activities and ensure that packaging is according to the product’s manufacturing specifications.
  • To ensure that finished products are prepared, labeled, and ready for transportation or storage.
  • To keep the work area clean and tidy and optimise space utilisation.
  • To maintain high levels of H&S standards, follow safe systems of work, and follow COVID 19 legislation and workplace guidance.
  • To address any discrepancies during the manufacturing process.
  • To achieve the targets and job standards set out by the Shift leader.
  • To be communicative with team leaders, co-workers, and administrative staff.
  • To be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work.
  • To perform inventory controls and keep quality standards high for audits.
  • To follow quality service standards and comply with rules, regulations, and procedures to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Key attributes:
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in inventory software and database systems
  • Familiar with manufacturing practices
  • Excellent attention to detail and deal with any discrepancies as they occur.
  • Good standard of numeracy.
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Have the ability to work to deadlines.
  • The pay rate will start at £10.50/hr and once fully trained will increase to £11.50/hr & £12.50/hr depending on experience and skills.**Please note that duties will involve regular repetitive light lifting** Required skills
