OverviewWe are an established high-end television series seeking to recruit on-site lab managers, to process test swab samples from our employees using our on-site testing machine.The Testing Managers will be based at our studio near Glasgow, and will conduct testing on a flexible working pattern, depending on our daily/weekly requirements.The role start date is Monday 2nd November 2020.Job DescriptionWe are recruiting for diligent COVID-19 testing managers to join our team. There may be more than one role, with part time and full-time opportunities available, starting on 2nd November 2020 until September 2021. Hours may be anti-social with early mornings and late evenings possible and we require a degree of flexibility and openness to working extended hours on occasion. The first two weeks of the role will be assigned to a trial and training period on the testing machine. The training will be delivered by representatives from GeneMe.GeneMe is a distributor of the FRANKD COVID-19 point-of-care test, providing on-site testing-as-a-service for theatres, film productions and airports. The novel FRANKD test has CE IVD certification and is compliant with WHO guidelines. FRANKD is a nucleic acid amplification test (NAAT), specifically FRANKD is a reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification (RT-LAMP). The FRANKD test takes 30 minutes processing time. The time from swab to result can be as little as 45 minutes. See In this role, you will be processing samples (taken from our employees by our on-site nurses) in non-lab conditions at our studio, using PCR and data interpretation and performing other related tasks as needed. As a testing manager, you will be involved in managing the testing lab, liaising with our team, batch reporting, and maintaining health and safety oversight. The role is particularly suitable for recent masters or PhD graduates.Education And ExperienceMinimum of 2:1 MSc or PhD in Life Sciences/Biomedical Sciences.Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
