P3 are working with our client exclusively to provide a Software Engineer to work at their water production, storage, and distribution facilities.As theSoftware Engineer you will work alongside a team of 16 engineers, you will work autonomously to develop and interprit technical information. This will entail helping to support and maintain assets used to control and monitor water supply systems, machinery and processes across a wide range of water production, distribtion and storage facilities - while ensuring regularatory compliance at all times. The role will require the Software Engineer to work part remotely, only visiting sites when safe and quiet enough to do so with Covid-19 compliance. At the moment that includes one day at the office.You will be responsible for PLC, HMI and SCADA system design, software development, associated documentation and overall quality assurance of new and existing systems.There is travel required with the role to sites so you will need a driving license, however, a company car/car allowance is provided with the role.The ideal candidate will be educated to a degree or equivalent level qualification. Experience of Allen Bradley PLCs would be seriously advantageous. Mitsubushi PLCs would also look favourably. Experience of working within the Water sector or other utilities is desired, however, if you have extensive experience of working within other relevant sectors this will also look favourably. Other sectors of engineers considered are; Food and Packaging, Renewable Energy, Energy, Aviation, Automation, Manufacturing, Electricity, Gas, Water, Sewer, Internet, Telephone.
