Job Description

My client has an exciting opening for an exceptional Web & Digital Developer. They supply around 1.6 million customers in the Staffordshire and Cambridge regions, delivering clean and reliable water supplies. Their digital team combines on and offshore resources, that aims to develop a rich and informative web presence, comprehensive customer web self-service, online customer reporting dashboard, e-commerce capability, online community, mobile apps, as well as developing customer solutions for in-home voice recognition from Amazon, Google and Apple.The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of system development life cycles. You will be able to translate business requirements into innovative solutions, using modern tools and techniques to improve customer experience, as well as solve problems through technology and develop well documented reusable code that is secure, reliable, fully tested and promotes continuous development.The Role:

  • Co-ordinate and prioritise work for a small offshore team in order to deliver web and digital solutions.
  • With websites built /based on a CMS (Content Management System) you will design responsive websites and integrate them with existing applications on campus or third-party and open-source platforms.
  • Undertake bug fixing and maintenance of current systems and websites, deploying new versions of systems into live and deliver training to client personnel of various skill levels and technical capabilities.

You will have the ability to provide proactive and responsive services, as well as planning and delivering project work. You will be an excellent communicator and able to brief out technical information to non-technical colleagues.A bit about you...To be successful you will possess proven experience in C# ASP. NET MVC5; JavaScript; JQuery, CSS3, HTML, web API, Web Services, SOAP, Xamarin, AWS, Bootstrap, IIS, SQL server, GIT as well as experience of CMS, Business system development, development of integrated and stand-alone solutions (analysis, design, code, modifications, testing, documentation and development assistance), Digital apps development, testing and deployment and ensuring Data reporting capability and functions. Not essential but advantageous, experience in SASS, cloud-based technology, Azure and Dependency Injection. Required skills
