Are you looking for a new challenge, a faster pace, or a step up in your careerWell we are working with a fast paced, leading convenience retail organisation in the UK who are looking for their new Head of Projects. The role will see you taking on the leadership of a small team of both BAs and PMs as they tackle a growing pipeline of work as the company continue on the journey to modernise the entire IT estate. You will be required to do some portfolio management in deciding who will take on responsibility for projects as they come live and will continue to be a point of support and guidance for the team as they go about their day to day role. You will provide coaching and support when required to help improve the teams collective skills and experiences. You will also begin to set out governance and structure for the team to follow. We arent looking for someone to come in and throw the Prince 2 book at them, we want someone pragmatic who can go about deciding the right levels of structure and governance that will allow the team to stay agile enough to make their own decisions for the good of the projects. Alongside this you will also lead by example and take on the project management of some of the larger projects that come live. These are often business system related projects, such as; Finance systems, Payroll and HR systems, EPOS systems, warehouse management, ordering systems and more.
