Job Description

Job SpecificationPosition: Multi Skilled Engineer - Electrical BiasLocation: WalsallSalary: £42,000 P/A + Excellent Company BenefitsHours: Monday to Friday 6am -2pm /2pm-10pm rotating shiftsWe are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Engineer with Electrical Bias for our global manufacturing client based in Walsall. You will be working within a busy site carrying out routine and preventative maintenance across the site and to diagnose and proposesolutions for all engineering plant breakdowns and failures. You will be required to continuously improve the performance, efficiency, safety and cost effectiveness of all engineering products and systems by developing, supporting, and driving improvementopportunities and practice methodologies.Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver a reactive and pro-active engineering/maintenance services to all operational equipment
  • Deliver a multi-skilled engineering/maintenance service covering electrical and mechanical disciplines
  • Liaise with colleagues and 3rd parties where required to communicate technical issues
  • Supporting all engineering software processes and systems to ensure that all data is reviewed, managed, acted upon, and reported as required
  • Work with other sites to ensure consistency and uniformity in approach to all engineering issues wherever possible
  • Ensure that all plans are in place on a daily basis to ensure the effective operation of all works engineering parts, products and systems
  • Ensure that systems are in place to resolve any engineering product or system issues in a manner that will limit the impact on production, quality, environmental, health & safety, compliance, and sustainability performance
  • Conduct ongoing evaluations of engineering products and systems to ensure that performance of all is optimised
Experience, Knowledge, Personal Characteristics:
  • HNC/City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent in Engineering
  • Latest Edition (Electrical) Qualification - 18th Edition/BS761
  • At least 3 years experience within a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated diverse skills set encompassing electrical or mechanical skills/knowledge ant at least one other core discipline i.e., controls/PLC.
  • Experience of working n pneumatic systems, valves, cylinders, or hydraulic systems would be desirable
