Job Description

Maths ECTAre you a maths graduate looking to begin your career within education as a Maths ECTCan you use your love of maths to inspire students to reach great grades.*** Maths ECT*** Permanent – September 2024*** MPS1 - £30,000*** Location – Walsall*** 79% GCSE Maths pass rate in 2021As a Maths ECT you will be the opportunity to show off the skills you developed on your year as a PGCE student, using your knowledge and classroom management to teach engaging lessons to KS3 & KS4 students.At this school each department is given the opportunity to thrive within the academic year, with no expense been spared to ensure that the relevant equipment and teaching materials are available to you as a Maths ECT.The school is located just outside of Walsall town centre and is accessible via public transport links form the town centre, the head teacher has been with the school for several years and has made it the success it is today within in the local community. Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging and interactive mathematics lessons that cater to varying learning styles and abilities.
  • Inspire and motivate students to develop problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and a passion for mathematics.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the mathematics curriculum, ensuring it remains relevant and aligned with national standards.
  • Assess and monitor students progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues within the Mathematics Department and across other subject areas to create a cohesive learning experience.
