Job Description

Commercial Account HandlerBasic up to £30,000 paWalsallPermanentMy client is based within the West Midlands, with over 30 years industry experience. Over the last few years they have become one of the fastest growing insurance brokers in the UK, offering competitive premiums and award-winning customer service. They havean opportunity for a commercial Account Handler to join their team.Key ResponsibilitiesThis role consists of providing a quality service to clients in respect of commercial renewals and new business insurance arrangements - advising, arranging and securing appropriate cover based on the clients demands and needs. In addition, the role requiresa range of administrative/customer service duties to facilitate the client’s mid-term insurance needs.

  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales and customer service;
  • Ascertain customers’ needs and wants then recommend products that match customer needs;
  • To develop new business opportunities through effective client relationship management;
  • Preparing and sending broking submissions;
  • Operate in a compliant way, in accordance with FCA guidelines;
  • Apply Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles throughout the sales process;
  • Customer Services
  • Providing individualised customer service at a professional level;
  • Taking payments, calculating premiums and providing other financial assistance on behalf of the accounts team;
  • Helping customers make policy amendments such as changing vehicles, updating personal information and changing cover;
  • Liaising with insurers and other parties, to build rapport and maintain an effective working relationship;
Requirements:
  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Negotiating and influencing skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commercial Insurance experience advantageous
Hours: Full-time, 09:00 - 17:00, Monday - Friday. (35-hours a week)Salary: £25,000.00 - £30,000.00 per annum
