Are you a BSL Support Worker looking for a new challenge Are you passionate about supporting children and young people with hearing difficultiesWe are looking for a BSL Support Worker to work at a busy secondary school in Walsall.*** BSL Support Worker*** Full-time role, long-term*** Ofsted Good school with excellent facilities and resources*** BSL Support Worker role, starting immediately*** £375 - £425 per weekThe BSL Support Worker Role:As a BSL Support Worker, you will be supporting learners with hearing impairments on a 1:1 basis, in small groups and in the classroom setting. Much of your time will be spent translating teaching materials so that pupils with hearing needs can still engagein classroom learning. You will also support them with their work, liaising with the class teacher to ensure that classwork is suitably differentiated to be appropriate for their needs.The BSL Support Worker:To be eligible for this BSL Support Worker role, you must hold a Level 3 qualification in British sign Language, and be able to demonstrate a high level of competency in this, as you will be working at quite a fast pace. Ideally, you will have worked withina school setting before and haver good curriculum knowledge. You must be a BSL Support Worker who has experience working with children.The School:This Ofsted Good secondary school located in Walsall caters for pupils in KS3 and KS4 with a mixed intake.
