Job Description

Are you an Accounts Assistant looking for a new role Enjoy number crunching and have meticulous attention to detail If so, this could be the perfect role for you!My client, in the Aldridge area, is currently seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to join their team as an Accounts Assistant. This position focuses on being the Financial Controllers right hand.Benefits:

  • Salary - Up to £30,000 DOE
  • 28 Days Holiday (Inclusive of bank holidays)
  • Additional Paid days off between Christmas & New Year

Responsibilities:
  • Accurately record and maintain sales transactions, raising invoices, and posting/allocating receipts.
  • Support with the sales ledger
  • Generate and distribute customer invoices in a timely manner.
  • Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to customer accounts.
  • Maintain accurate records of all communication and payment arrangements.
  • Collaborate with the team to prepare month-end reports, reconciliations, and journals.
  • Contribute to the month-end close process, ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Provide support in resolving any accounting discrepancies or issues that arise.
  • Assist with general financial duties, such as data entry, answering phone calls, and document management.
  • Respond to internal and external inquiries.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth workflow and accurate financial information.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical skills.
  • Proficient in using MS Excel, V-Lookups and Pivot Tables.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
