The Benefits - Salary of £32,458 - £34,318 per annum- 28 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing with length of service)- Extra days off between Christmas and New Year- Local government pension scheme- Flexi work policy- Hybrid working- Family leave policyThe Role As a Corporate Governance Officer, you will work as part a team to support our Board and the Committees that oversee the work of Social Care Wales. Acting as Committee Secretary for the Audit & Risk Committee and Remuneration Committee, youll ensure that the committee governance arrangements are implemented. Youll manage recruitment, training and development for the Audit & Risk Committee, oversee internal audit requirements and reporting and provide project co-ordination for internal working groups. Additionally, you will support the board secretary in the running of Committees and deputise for them during periods of absence.Your role will also involve:- Co-ordinating the Information Governance Group - Co-ordinating the Business Continuity Group - Monitoring and managing internal audit requirements and reportingAbout YouTo be considered as a Corporate Governance Officer, you will need:- Fluency in Welsh- Experience of working in a governance role- A track record of supporting committees and internal meetings- A track record of high-quality business reporting- Good knowledge of governance and audit best practice- Excellent written and verbal communication skills- IT proficiency - A degree or equivalent professional qualification or relevant experienceOther organisations may call this role Corporate Compliance Officer, Governance & Compliance Officer, Committee Secretary, or Corporate Governance Support Officer.
