Job Description

Radar Recruitment are working closely with a UK based manufacturing business, supporting them in their search for a new Finance Manager, reporting into the Finance Director you will be responsible for the day-to-day finance function for the key operationalentity and the management of a small team. This role will suit either a formally qualified Accountant who has already operated at a similar level for 1-2 years, or a soon-to-be / newly qualified Accountant with aspirations to step up into a more senior role.Responsibilities:

  • Manage all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and analysis.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end financial closings, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain compliance with regulations.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance, providing insightful recommendations to senior management for strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize financial processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement efficiency initiatives.
  • Prepare and present financial reports, variance analyses, and financial statements to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
  • Lead and develop a small team, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • ACA (first or second move from Practice) or ACCA Qualified, CIMA qualification to be considered, role sits with a financial accounting and audit bias.
  • Prior roles to include: Financial Accountant, Management Accountant, Finance Manager, Financial Controller, Accounts Manager, Accounts Senior, Audit Manager, Audit Senior, Client Manager.
  • Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial accounting and knowledge of audit preparation.
  • Excellent leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to inspire and develop.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
