Join the prestigious Uppingham School, founded in 1584, as a Grounds operative and contribute to the maintenance of its extensive sports facilities spread across 56 acres over three sites. With a commitment to Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion, the schoolis seeking an experienced professional with a passion for sports pitch maintenance and machinery operation.Reporting to the Deputy Sports Turf Manager, your responsibilities will include the meticulous maintenance of sports pitches, operation of mowers and machinery, fertilization, weed control, and upkeep of synthetic surfaces. With a proven track record insports grounds maintenance and associated work, you will bring expertise in initial setting out and marking pitches.Your role extends to broader estate management, including leaf clearing, litter picking, debris clearing, and preparations for events. Experience in using a range of machinery and equipment is crucial, and youll demonstrate the ability to work seamlesslyas part of a team.
