Required: As soon as possibleContract: PermanentHours: Full time and part time positions available, working 32 weeks per year, between 7.30am - 7pm Mon to SatSalary: CompetitiveThis is a great opportunity to join one of the leading independent schools in the UK as Uppingham continues to invest in its matron provision across its boarding houses.House Matrons play a pivotal role within the school, and we are seeking experienced pastoral professionals to work alongside our boarding house teams to deliver excellent care to our pupils aged 13-18, ensuring they settle into school and house routines,feel happy and content and have their welfare needs met.The boarding houses are central to life at Uppingham School and matrons play a crucial role within these. An Uppingham house is very much an extended home. Each boarding house aims to represent a full spectrum of the personalities, characters and talentfound across the school. A matron seeks to bring out the best in each pupil and ensure that they are treated as an individual within the boarding house.The role also requires confidence with IT-based admin and strong communication skills in order to successfully deliver pastoral care to our pupils.If you enjoy working as part of a team and can combine efficiency with friendliness and a genuine care for the welfare of our pupils, we would be delighted to hear from you.
