Are you an experienced Chemist who has worked in production / manufacturing Are you ambitious to grow and develop to become our new Technical Manager Are you comfortable developing new products, re-engineer existing products and taking formulas from thelaboratory through to production Based in Corby we are a leading chemical manufacturer of coatings.BASIC SALARY: Up to £40,000 dependant on your experience and qualificationsBENEFITS:· Flexible start and finish times · Early finish on a Friday · 22 days holiday rising yearly · Generous quarterly KPIs bonuses · Yearly bonus on personal and company objectivesLOCATION: Corby, NorthamptonshireCOMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Market Harborough, Kettering, Stamford, Uppingham, WellingboroughWhy you should join us:· There is a genuine opportunity for you to develop your career with us - your obvious career path will be into a Senior Chemist role, but we are open to you becoming our new Technical Manager too · We will support you with external training courses and gaining professional qualifications · Flexible start and finish times and you choose the length of your lunch breakJOB DESCRIPTION: Production Chemist - Chemical ManufacturingAre you an experienced Chemist who has practical experience working in a manufacturing or production environmentAre you comfortable developing new chemical coatings and redeveloping existing coatings in our laboratoryYou can immediately lead a team, or choose to work alone running a small number of chemical coating projects for us.You will ensure all relevant documentation is completed accurately, ensure quality & Health & Safety standards are adhered to and provide technical support to customers, distributors, and our sales team.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Production Chemist - Chemical Manufacturing· Develop new formulas for chemical coatings · Improve our existing formulas · Work well as part of team collaborating internally with sales and production · Support distributors and customers with technical enquiriesYOUR BACKGROUND: Production Chemist - Chemical Manufacturing· You will be an experienced chemist with practical experience in a laboratory · You will be comfortable taking your formulations from the laboratory into production · You will be I.T literate, great with data and documentationWe are open on your educational background as your practical experience in more important to us.You might have a BSc in a Chemistry related subject, or similar, with post degree practical experience, or you might have gone down the more traditional education route like ONC/HNC with relevant on the job training as a Chemist.THE COMPANY:A well established ISO:9001 certified chemical coatings manufacturer based in the Corby are of Northamptonshire.
