This Tool Hire Supervisor role is workingin our Jewson Branches in n Newcastle and North Shields. Jewson is the biggest employer in the UK Saint-Gobain business, with over 500 branches. What will I be doing in this role The Tool Hire Supervisor role is a varied and busy role. You will be focusedon generating profitable business by building relationships with customers both face to face and via the telephone to achieve maximum sales, while ensuring effective and efficient running of Tool Hire in line with Health & Safety guidelines. This role offersa varied mix of customer / account management and commercial focus. Youre expected to be hands on involved with the sales counter, dealing with customers face to face & over the phone to build a profitable pipeline and good picture of the market. We can provideyou with the product knowledge needed, however we need you to bring with you the right driver, determination and understanding of how to maximise on sales opportunities. Key day to day duties include: * Supervising a small team to ensure that profitable customerrelationships are built and maintained; driving sales and seeking new business opportunities with new and existing customers * The creative and efficient scheduling, allocation and management of the tools - working closely with other local branches to ensurethat all contracts can be fulfilled to maximum capacity * Ensure sales orders and delivery schedules are processed accurately and promptly and advising customers on trading terms and conditions * Servicing and maintenance of all tools making sure that anytechnical problems, faults and repairs are dealt with efficiently * Administration duties to ensure that all tool hire reports and health & safety data is up to date HOURS OF WORK Monday to Friday 730am - 5pm Alternate Saturday 8am - 12 noon Requirements What skills are we looking for First and foremost, we always want to recruit talented people that align well with our values and way of working; this means that we are open to applications from all Saint-Gobain businesses andwould welcome you to apply if you can demonstrate the following key skills: * A customer-focused approach and the ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships with customers and suppliers * Strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage customerneeds whilst maximising profit * Strong mechanical mind-set - you may not have worked with tools before but can demonstrate an understanding of, or interest in mechanical equipment * A positive attitude and the desire to want to continually improve our service* A full driving licence to be able to deliver equipment locally Please note that product and system training can be provided where applicants may lack this knowledge. We encourage applications from all background if you can demonstrate the skills highlighted.What will I be doing Our Tool Hire Supervisors are essential within the branch network, you will build relationships with Customers and understand their wider requirements in order to maximise sales growth. You will be in regular contact with our Customersand therefore you play a huge part in delivering a fantastic customer experience. In order to support our customers and deliver a great service you will; * Get to know our product lines and services in order to make the most of all customer interactions inline with our Jewson Values * Supervising a small team to ensure that great relationships are developed with new and existing Customers, understanding their needs and providing proactive advice and solutions so that you can deliver the best experience possible* Use our in-house systems to process customer orders, organise tool hire delivery and collection, keeping customers updated throughout their journey * Collaborate with the wider network to support Customer requirements and business activities * Get to knowthe local market to support plans for sales growth * You may be occasionally required to carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of our tool hire equipment in the workshop * Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and otherssafe at work * Work with colleagues to suggest opportunities for improvement WHO ARE WEAre Jewson and Saint-Gobain an Inclusive employer Our Customers are all unique and so are our colleagues.
