Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join an award-winning vegan French patisserie. The business is rapidly expanding and now have several positions open to join their existing team working in production.Our client has been a winner of several awards over the last 5 years, including winner of the Channel 4 program Bake Off: The Professionals. All the luxury patisseries they manufacture are served at prestigious events and locations, such as Wimbledon, Blenheim Palace and The Royal Ascot, and local favourites,such as Waterloo Tea.Production staff play a critical role in the business, specialising in the creation of a wide range of patisseries. Your purpose is to skillfully craft and deliver luxurious patisseries that showcase the best of vegan patisserie.What we need from you:

  • You will have some understanding of baking techniques and principles, including mixing, folding, and creaming
  • Can manipulate ingredients to achieve desired textures and flavours
  • Experience in apply icing, frosting, glazes, and decorative elements to create visually appealing and aesthetically pleasing desserts
  • Proficient in using specialised pastry equipment, such as pastry bags, piping tips, moulds, and pastry cutters
  • Team player but also able to work on your own initiative
  • Eligible to work in the UK
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
  • Executing pastry recipes with precision and attention to detail
  • Combining ingredients, following specific techniques, and adhering to established baking times and temperatures
  • Mixing, folding, and creaming ingredients
  • Decorating and finishing pastries - apply icing, frosting, glazes, and decorative elements to create visually appealing and aesthetically pleasing desserts
  • Using equipment such aspastry bags, piping tips, moulds, and pastry cutters
  • Conduct inspections, tests and checks to identify and rectify any defects or discrepancies
  • Maintaining clean workspaces and following guidelines for safe food handling
Salary/hours: up to £10.90 per hour, age dependant. Working full time, 8am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday.Benefits:
