Kent Fire & Rescue Service have an exciting opportunity for an Immediate Emergency Care Training Instructor to join our well established team based in our Service Training Centre in Maidstone, Kent. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis in return for a competitive salary of £25,169 - £28,896 per annum.As our Immediate Emergency Care Training Instructor you will play a key role in teaching our staff how to provide vital resuscitation and trauma care to the standards prescribed by SECAmb Immediate Emergency Care Responder Programme and in accordance with the UK Resuscitation Council Guidelines.Key responsibilities as our Immediate Emergency Care Training Instructor:- Support and facilitate learning events in line with the approved training programme, including the design, preparation and delivery of lessons as required.- Assess learner’s knowledge, skills and understanding at all stages of learning and development to gauge progress against objectives, including first aid and resuscitation skills, methods and procedures.- Provide support and feedback on individuals performance and progress.- Keep own skill, knowledge and competence up to date with latest practices and thinking relating to specialist subject matter area and share best practice with other partner organisations- Maintain resources to support learning- Understanding of Pre-hospital Care and H&S principles- Support and contribute to immediate emergency care projectsWhat we’re looking for in ourImmediate Emergency Care Training Instructor:- Knowledge and understanding of Pre-hospital care and first aid skills, including responding to medical incidents- Knowledge and understanding of the current UK Resuscitation Council guidelines- Possess advanced pre-hospital trauma care and Immediate Emergency Care skills- Able to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences through an understanding and appreciation of different learning styles- Competent in relevant IT systems including Microsoft Office applications (WORD, EXCEL and POWERPOINT, Share point, Workforce Planning System- Emergency Medical Technician certificate or higher- Level 2 in Literacy and Numeracy or equivalent- Proven experience of trauma care and first aid training in an occupational or commercial capacity- Pre hospital care experienceIf you feel have the skills and experience to become one of our Immediate Emergency Care Training Instructor please click ‘apply’ today, we’d love to hear from you!Closing Date: 23.59 hours on 18th June 2020
