Job Description

SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)Location: Tiverton, DevonSalary: £400 - £450 per weekStart Date: ImmediatelyContract Type: Full Time/PermanentPrimary LevelAre you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children Do you have a keen interest in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our dedicated team as a SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) at a vibrant Primary School in Tiverton, Devon.Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the class teacher to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Provide one-to-one assistance to students with SEN to enhance their learning experience
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior management strategies
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to create a cohesive educational community
  • Support the overall well-being and development of students with SEN
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of differentiated lessons to meet individual needs
Requirements:
  • Candidates with care and support work experience are preferred.
  • Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) would be an extra advantage.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team and independently
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational journey of every child
