Job Description

Complete technical aspects of product development for all products produced
Primary contact for Retailer Audits and other second and third party audits/visits
Check appropriate product specifications, and artworks to ensure compliance with all relevant UK and EU legislation, guidance and codes of practice
Amends documents or creates new documents, flow charts or spreadsheets as necessary, getting updated documents signed by relevant managers, updating system and Document Matrix, filing document paperwork
Conducting monthly housekeeping audits for all departments
Being the main compliance representative during customer audits, collating requested paperwork and managing the compliance assistant and others to ensure relevant paperwork is completed
Conducting audits of supplier premises and facilities
Be the Compliance representative during morning meetings and other meetings as appropriate
Management of the site asbestos register including auditing, communication and updating of the register where changes have been made to the building fabric
Conduct complaint audits with suppliers and conduct internal investigations which may result from a customer complaint or an internal complaint
Investigate source of complaints and liaise with neighbours to ensure satisfactory conclusion
Attend ongoing training to support the development of your role
Any other duties as requested by your manager

About YouThe ideal candidate for this role should have:

Experience of working within Food Manufacturing Technical or Compliance Team
Experience of auditing and dealing with auditors in particular BRC/GFSI
Experience of delivering training courses
Legal Labelling experience
Experience of HACCP systems
Experience of Quality Management Systems
Experience of Food Safety Systems
Desired experience of SAP systems
Desired experience of managing people
Keen eye for detail
Excellent communication skills
Flexible and adaptable
Customer service focused
Able to deal with difficult situations calmly
