Junior Quantity Surveyor - Residential New Build£30,000 - £35,000 - Flexible Hybrid WorkingTivertonAbout The Company :My Client have been trading for over 30 years and have become an independent award-winning house builder committed to delivering high quality new homes, ranging from single bedroom apartments to five bedroom detached family homes across the West Country.Over the last 30 years they have built over 1500 new homes and created more than 30 new communities.Due to significant recent growth they have identified the need for a new Junior / Assistant Quantity Surveyor. The successful candidate will be working closely with the existing Quantity Surveyors and can expect progression to a full Quantity Surveyor within1 - 2 years (depending on ability).Main Duties :Daily tasks will change depending on the day and the project but can consist of:· Raising monthly applications and Invoices for works.· Variations relating to ongoing projects.· Chasing retention payments.· Site re-measures.· Estimating and ordering of materials.· Creating RAMS for successful projects.· Ordering Plant and off hiring of plant.· Data entry.Requirements :· Cost Value Reconciliation system experience would be beneficial.· Previous QS experience would be beneficial.· Positive attitude towards teamwork.· Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with sub-contractors and senior stakeholders.· Attention to detail.Why You Should Apply :· £30,000 - £35,000 depending on experience.· Progression to full QS within 1-2 years.· Flexible Hybrid Working.· 25 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays.If you would like to hear more about this job please click apply or contact Joe on Joe @ huntermasonconsulting . com
