Job Description

Role: Yard BanksmanLocation: SheffieldSalary: Salary starting at £10.50 Per hourHours: 7am-15.30pm Monday-Thursday and 7am-14.30pm on FridayDuration: Temporary (potential to go permanent for the right candidate)Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operating overhead cranes using remote control to handle steel
  • Operating counterbalance fork lift trucks
  • Helping to load and unload machines
  • Loading and unloading vehicles
  • Any other duties as and when required
  • Experience of steel yard operations an advantage but training will be provided to develop knowledge and skill.
Person Specification
  • Previous experience working in a manual job would be beneficial but not essential
  • Physically fit and strong
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding environment
  • Reliable, trustworthy and a willingness to work
  • Crane Driving experience essential
