Job Description

Our client is a large market leader based in Rotherham are looking for an experienced, driven and motivated Project Engineer to join their team!The ideal candidate will:

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN ENGINEERING, MACHINING, LASER CUTTING OR FABRICATION
Ensure projects are led and fulfilled from order to full production
Be a main point of contact for designated blue-chip customers, and ensure liaisons to manage customer requirements and expectations including variations from original order
Review customer order requirements against quotation
Break down engineering drawings to produce a bill of materials
Create 2D DXF cutting files for use in our thermal cutting processes
Input manufacturing information into our operating system to generate route cards
Generate process manufacturing drawings
Raise purchase order requisitions and expediting suppliers
Liaising with internal departments and customers to resolve queries and expedite progress
Provide technically sound engineering solutions to achieve effective results and to resolve any potential problems or issues.
Prepare accurate timelines for all aspect of each project
Progress the manufacture of all parts required to schedule

Beneficial skills

Strong engineering background - a qualification is desirable
Knowledge and experience of AutoCAD and ERP manufacturing systems.
Strong customer service skills
Great communication skills
