Job Description

Based in Thornbury, we are looking to recruit for a Team Leader to join our community on a full-time (40 hrs p/w), permanent basis. The shifts can vary, and we will try our best to accommodate the individuals needs as much as possible but will have to putthe needs of the community first. The hours would compromise a mixture of morning, evening and weekend work, no sleep ins will be contracted. We have a 2 week rolling rota so candidates will know exactly what shifts they are doing for the foreseeable.The salary we will pay is £12.20 per hour (£25,376pa) and there is plenty of opportunity for overtime if needed. We give 6.6 weeks annual leave and our annual leave is during a calendar year.Plan and organise the delivery of support and care by your team, ensuring that there are up-to-date person centred support and care plans in place that are regularly reviewed; risk assessments are undertaken, incidents appropriately recorded, and there areadequate records in place to evidence the provision of support and care in accordance with contractual and regulatory expectations.Ensure clients receive support and care in accordance with their person centred support and care plan to foster their wellbeing and development and fulfil their potential for independence, choice, inclusion and control by, for example, supporting clientsto:Encourage and support the clients to maintain clean, tidy and welcoming living environmentSupport clients to use appropriate laundry equipment so they can be enabled to do their laundry and clothing so they have suitable and clean clothing to wearPlan, shop and prepare healthy and wholesome meals alongside the clients and taking into account their choices and wishesEnsure clients receive their housing related support by enabling clients to look after their finances (developing appropriate budgeting and financial training including support to access benefits and maintain them and assist them to understand and maintaintheir tenancy) and assisting clients to access services from the landlord including to access maintenance services and reporting non-functioning safety and security measures.4. Assist with or arrange for clients personal care where required.5. Liaise professionally with clients parents, social workers and others to make sure that the network of support around each client is functioning effectively.6. Attend and hold meetings related to the care function of the organization, reporting outcomes to the CEO and Registered Manager.7. Support, supervise and direct Support Workers and Co-workers to provide a high quality of support and care, making sure they complete their induction and this is recorded, have individual learning plans that are regularly reviewed and updated, are supervisedregularly and supervision records kept, and conduct and record their annual review.To be available after hours to the staff and service users as required by the CEO and Registered Manager in line with the ongoing nature of the organisations responsibilities to service users.Experience5 years experience of working within a supported living environment with adults with learning disabilities.Minimum of 2 years experience working at a senior level.Reasonable general education (evidence of numeracy and literacy).Minimum NVQ Level 3 in social care or equivalent. Driving License and DBS Check
