My client is looking for a new team member to join their Thames Ditton location!You will be working for a not-for-profit club health and fitness club that have re-invested continuously over the past 41 years to provide the local area with some of the best facilities around.Job Description for the Events/Bar Manager:The Events / Bar Manager takes responsibility for the financial success of the bar & events calendar. You will have a range of duties, including events co-ordination club wide, administrative, leadership and practical tasks. You will need to ensure the baroperates efficiently and our customers have the best possible experience.Roles & Responsibilities for the Events/Bar Manager:

Events Coordination
Increasing F&B revenue via events/functions
Integration with marketing to promote events / functions
Will need to market your events effectively to maximise attendance etc
External Lead generation and football in Basils
Creation, development, and management of events calendar
Focal point for all service aspects related to events / functions
Overseeing the cleanliness of the bar area paying attention to possible health hazards and regulation violations, this also includes opening/closing check lists, daily/weekly clean schedules. Setting and enforcing quality and safety controls.
Managing the business aspects of the bar, such as keeping a current liquor license, other licenses up to date, negotiating supplier contracts, taking inventory, and reordering supplies, managing budgets, and setting goals.
Hiring and training bar staff to provide excellent service to customers.
Meet targets set by your line manager.
Increase bar usage and member spend per head
Creating effective rotas with the bar supervisor to ensure the bar is well staffed during peak hours and appropriately staffed during quieter times.
Working with diverse personalities, both staff and customers.
Ensure the wastage is controlled and logged on the wastage sheet for the stock taker
Maintain a positive, safe work environment for staff and encourage career development
Ensure the cellar is cleaned and maintained & lines are cleaned regularly

KPIs

Produce and execute Annual Events Calendar
Improve Customer Service and experience (Measured by NPS)
Improve Gross Profit margin

Qualifications / Educational Requirements:

NVQ Level 3 Hospitality & Catering (incl: cellar management) or equivalent desirable
Events Coordination/Management experience·
People Management ·
Leadership Training Preferable ·
Level 3 Food Hygiene preferable
