Job Description

Our clientNigel Wright are pleased to be working with a fast growth food manufacturing business as they look to recruit a Production Manager.The RoleThis is a hands-on job working in a very fast paced environment and therefore experience of management and working in a similar environment is essential. Managers must be able to manage a large team as well as managing rotas and staffing needs such as holidaysand disciplinaries.Working in a small team of Production Managers, you will be responsible for the daily running of the production lines to ensure minimal interruptions whilst ensuring high quality of all products. This job role also includes organising staff, managing rotasand ensuring all relevant training is kept up to date.This is a fast-paced role and therefore candidates must have experience of working in a past faced production environment, ideally with a food background. Working hours will range between 6am to 8pm but can vary with finish times dependent on production volumes.This is a full-time position, 5 days a week across a 7-day production, including weekends.What you will be doing:• Ensure the smooth running of the core business by liaising with all supervisors to co-ordinate stock, production, picking and despatch run in unison.• Ensure all stock requirements are met, liaising with Admin and Goods In, so that all product is kept in premium condition and wastage is kept to a minimum.• Ensure all traceability procedures are adhered to.• Liaise with Production Supervisors, and team leaders as required to enable production to take place with minimal interruptions.• Organise staffing rotas, holiday and sickness cover and liaise with Admin re temporary cover and job advertisements, etc.• Where necessary complete disciplinary investigations.• Ensure all necessary documentation is complete to adhere with company procedures based on current BRC guidelines (involves liaison with consultants on a regular basis).• Carry out any necessary inductions, training, etc as required.• Attend management review meetings• Set a good example to all other staff in both manner and conduct.• To ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as Health & Safety regulations• Any other reasonable tasks that are required as part of the needs of the business.RequirementsIn order to be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate the following experience:•Experience of working within the FMCG Sector•A flexible approach to work with a positive attitude•Experience of working in a fast-paced environment
