Job Description

Your New RoleNigel Wright are delighted to be working with an excellent PE backed Manufacturing business, based in the Teesside area.They are seeking to recruit a confident Management Accountant to join their Finance team.This role plays a key part in assisting the Finance Controller in ensuring the accuracy of the Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet for the UK and responsible for the product costing process.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAs the Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:

Responsibility during month-end process for accruals / prepayments and review of resulting profit / loss account and balance sheet positions,
Provide financial guidance to budget holders and challenge variances to budget and forecast
Month end sales reporting and analysis,
Responsibility for month end reporting data
Responsibility for accurate month end, forecast and budget reporting into Group systems
Assist with month-end variance analysis to budget and forecast,
Management of product costing process
Responsibility for asset accounting and capex project reviews
Responsible for balance sheet reconciliations for key General Ledger accounts,
Responsible for preparation and distribution of monthly KPIs,
Update and maintain process notes,
Annual budget setting process for areas of responsibility,
Ensure that accounting standards are adhered to,
Maximising continuous improvement opportunities and ensuring controls and processes are adhered to
Assistance to wider teams in carrying out annual stock count, asset audit and annual cost standard setting processes,
Ensuring JSOX compliance within areas of responsibility.

You Will Be/Have• Ambitious, self-motivated, keen to progress individual who will have the potential to become FC in the future.• Confident communicator – as you will have a lot of interaction with Cost Centre Managers, Budget Holders, UK and Group finance teams and the Operational teams/factory floor.• Some manufacturing and standard costing experience – would be preferable.• Ideally Qualified (CIMA/ACCA) as the position is overseeing the Assistant Management Accountant who is currently studying but open to nearly qualified/QBE.Benefits•£45,000 circa - dependant on qualifications and experience.•The role is hybrid and flexible - but does need some office presence as you will be involved in face-to-face meetings.• 26 days holidays + bank holidays• Pension scheme
