Job title: Skills BrokerLocation: Team Valley and covering across the North East (Newcastle, Gateshead, Durham, Sunderland, South Shields, Newton Aycliffe, Bishop Auckland, Hexham, Cramlington, Alnwick and Berwick-upon-TweedSalary: up to £31,434 plus £4,500 car allowanceWe are recruiting a number of Skills Facilitators/Broker for a brand new programme at Education Development Trust called North East Ambition.What is North East Ambition The North East Ambition programme is designed to support SMEs and micro businesses across the North East link more effectively with local and national skills initiatives. The programme is a partnership between Education Development Trust and the North East Local Enterprise Partnership, building upon NELEP’s successful North East Ambition pilot. The North East Ambition programme is a European Social Fund match funded programme that runs from December 2020 - December 2023.The Skills Facilitator is required to deliver the North East Ambition Programme; targeted engagement of businesses within nominated sectors, focussing on under-engaged SMEs located throughout the North East to help identify and address their skills issues, incorporating addressing skills gaps and skills shortage, through greater collaboration and engagement within the wider North East skills network and beyond. Ensure effective collaboration with other contracts within Education Development Trust’s career’s portfolio.The post holder will be expected to liaise and maintain effective working relationships with a range of other agencies, businesses and employers. The post may involve working in more than one location and there will be travel involved (car allowance is provided).
