NFF is part of Biscuit International (BI), one of Europes leadingplayers in the private label sweet biscuit market. Machine Minders assist production in meeting required standards whilst ensuring all products are of correct quality standards and meet specificationWHAT WILL YOU BE DOING IN YOUR ROLE

  • Be familiar with all relevant machinery (wrappers, labellers, checkweigher, printers etc)
  • Ensuring safe and efficient running of wrappers, labellers, checkweighers, printers etc.
  • Programming equipment to perform production tasks.
  • Set up, adjust, or operate basic or specialized machine tools used to perform precision machining operations.
  • Diagnosing machine tool malfunctions to determine need for adjustments or repairs.
  • Monitoring the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
  • Confer with engineering, supervisory, or manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information.
  • Quality responsibilities: to ensure product presented to wrapping machines is of correct quality as per specification.
  • Ensuring codes are correct at all times.
  • Ensuring any issues are highlighted to Senior Operator/Shift Supervisor/Assistant Supervisor
  • Ensuring Clean as you Go Policy is adhered to.
  • Assisting with the training of new machinists.
  • To ensure Health and Safety compliance at all times.
  • Ensuring correct PPE is worn at all times.
WHAT EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS ARE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITIONEssential:
  • Right to work in United Kingdom
  • Good verbal and written English communication
  • Good numeracy skills
Desirable:
  • Level 2 Health and Safety
  • Level 2 Food Safety
  • Manual Handling
WHAT ARE THE FINER DETAILS OF YOUR ROLEThis is a permanent night shift role where you will be required to work a total of 36 hours per week, comprising of 3 x 12-hour shifts. You will work Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday one week and then the following week you will work Thursday, Friday & Saturday.You will not work on a Sunday. This role provides an incredible work life balance as you will have up to 7 days rest between rotations every three weeks.WHAT SALARY PACKAGE YOU WILL BE RECEIVINGThis position pays between £9.80£10.30 per hour.
