Job Description

ORDER PICKING TEAM LEADER (Noon Shift)Permanent on completion of 12 week probationary period.Working for one of the UK’s leading wholesalers.Our business provides a next day supply and distribution service through our nationwide network of distribution depots, serving an average of 2220 customers every day!This is a full-time opportunity for you to join our warehousing team in our Stoke-on-Trent distribution centre.This role is deemed an Essential Worker’, with the added reassurance of working in a stable industryDuties

  • Supporting the Supervisor, who has responsibility for circa 20 employees
  • Dealing with minor issues and keeping orders progressing
  • Assist and oversee the picking of item supplies to customers
  • Ensuring that orders are picked correctly and on time
  • Motivate and drive the team to achieve
  • Deliver hourly updates to the Picking Warehouse Supervisor
  • Cover Picking Warehouse Supervisor duties during any absence
  • The role will report directly to the Picking Warehouse Supervisor and will assist in other departments when required
    • Experience
  • Experience of leading a team
  • Previous Warehouse experience
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good spoken and written communication skill
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Ability to use own initiative and work as part of a team
  • Good standard of numeracy and literacy
  • IT and administrative skills
