Summary We’re looking for a Data Protection Office Project Co-ordinator to join our IT team. Your contractual location will be our central office in Swindon, however there will be an opportunity to explore and agree hybrid working arrangements which strike the right balance for you and the Trust.Please note this position is available as a secondmentor a fixed-term position. What its like to work here The Data Protection Office sits within our busy IT department. Working collaboratively with all areas of the Trust, we focus on delivering data protection compliance advice and guidance at pace, focusing on the data protection needs of our people and supporters in line with current legislation and the guidance of the UKdata regulator. We are a supportive team and will provide training as required to help you develop your data protection knowledge and understanding. What youll be doing As a first point of contact for the Data Protection Office you will be supporting our Assistant Data Protection Lead with a key focus on projects, programmes and data protection risk assessment. You’ll be managing the triage and processingof Data Protection related email correspondence from a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You’ll be responsible for the rigorous logging, assignment and follow up of requests and queries related to Data Protection enquiries and Data Protection Impact Assessment administration. You’ll also get involved in the development of data processing and data sharing agreements, legitimate interest balance tests and play a proactive role in the day-to-day support of our Assistant Data Protection Lead’s diary, meetings, and priorities. Who were looking for You dont need to have all the knowledge, skills and experience listed in the role profile; this is just to provide a full picture of what is possible in this role, we’d love to hear from you if you have: •An interest in Data Protection assurance and a high-level understanding of the risks of non-compliance •A high level of accuracy and attention to detail •Flexible approach including the ability to multi-task and to successfully handle changing workloads andmultiple priorities when needed •Understanding of key project co-ordination tasks including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel. •A broad understanding of personal data processing •People skills, enabling positive workingrelationships both within the team, and across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders •The ability to work well both in a team and on your own initiative, balanced with the knowledge of when to flag a risk or issue that might otherwise escalate The package The National Trust has the motto ‘For everyone, for ever’ at its heart.
