Job Description

Morgan McKinley is looking for a Trainee or Entry-level Finance Administrator who wants to work for a growing organisation based in Swindon, looking after the Purchase and Sales ledger administration and reconciliations. This role has come about due to growth.My client offers an opportunity for a Trainee or Entry-level Finance Administrator to grow their career in this position, over time or will consider someone who enjoys being the Finance Administrator. You will ideally be or have studied AAT level 1 or 2 andhave had circa 6 months of experience in an office/ finance office environment.My client offers flexible hours and working from home one day per week, and much more. If you are keen to continue your finance/ accounting career or looking to take on a new opportunity, this role could be for you!Reporting to the Accounts Manager you will be tasked with the following:

  • Allocation of monies received and coded against the invoices on the finance system.
  • Processing of vouchers through the different systems and ensuring all are reconciled and allocated to the right invoices.
  • Contact clients to confirm their personal data is accurate and correct on the system.
  • Reconcile cash and cheques received and allocated correctly to the right accounts.
  • Maintenance of the Purchase Ledger - processing invoices allocating receipts and reconciling the system.
  • Assist with credit control when required including raising invoices and liaising with clients via telephone, letter, and email.
  • Supporting the finance team with ad hoc administrative tasks.
What you will need:
  • Ideally have worked in a similar finance role or within a finance environment previously.
  • Either studying or qualified AAT level 1 / 2.
  • Demonstrable experience in job roles such as; Finance Administrator/ finance officer/ Finance Assistant/ Purchase Ledger Clerk/ Sales Ledger Clerk.
  • A positive team ethos and can-do attitude.
  • Ability to build rapport with all people and able to work in a team and support a small office environment and be confident working with clients and professionals both internally or externally.
