Production OperativeSalary £25,000 pa35 Hours per week Monday - Friday 7am till 2.30pm - specific hours requiredLeeds LS26 8XTmust live within a commutable distance and car driver preferredJenaValve have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated, methodical and reliable individual to join their manufacturing team, processing animal tissue that make their innovative live saving heart valves.They are looking for a candidate who wants to make a difference and who can uphold their company core values with the upmost integrity in order for JenaValve to continue to enable life for their patients.The successful applicant will be expected to apply their skills and knowledge in the processing of tissue used to produce THV. (Transcatheter Heart Valve). You must be comfortable handling raw pig material on a daily basis as this is an important part ofthe technicians role.Job Responsibilities but not limited to:-

Execute receiving, trimming, fixation, die cutting, measurements, and inspection for Porcine Pericardium tissue per JVT released procedures.
Perform checks against specifications and defined failure modes.
Use of toolsblades, scissors, forceps, dies, microscopeto perform tissue processing.
Use of equipmentFume hood, thickness measurement, pressto perform tissue processing.
Complete all operations in accordance with work instructions, good manufacturing practices, good documenting practices in compliance with the JenaValve quality system, including recording traceable information in DHRs.
Support all manufacturing-related aspects of a project within a team.
Support activities corresponding to other work procedures, as requested, to provide support to any operations processes.
Be aware of Health and Safety information for the applicable processes utilized in the organization.
Adhere to all EHS rules and requirements and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others.

Required Education and Experience:

GCSE or equivalent.
Some experience of manufacturing, tissue processing, GMP, clean room, medical device desirable.

Skills and Abilities Required for This Job:

Must take initiative and be able to complete hands-on work under guidance.
Must handle single tasks with high attention to detail.
Must be able to work in a team environment and with minimum supervision by following detailed manufacturing instructions.
Basic computer skills required.
Must be able to handle animal tissue and wet processes.
Ability to read, comprehend and speak English, and good communication skills required.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Must have good documentation skills.
Must be able to complete the applicable training requirements.
Must understand GMP procedures and be able to work in a controlled environment.
