Location: Sutton in AshfieldShift: 8:00am-16:30pm Monday-FridaySalary: £30-£35kBenefits: 33 days annual leave (Inclusive of bank holidays), Pension, Healthcare and Holiday buy back schemeThe Company:A national engineering company with 3 decades of experience within bespoke design, construction of water, energy, and environmental processing and engineering are looking for a Utilities Estimator to join their growing commercial team reporting to the precontract director.The Candidate:

Will benefit from a Level 5 Mechanical /Electrical or Civil Engineering qualification OR relevant site experience and a demonstrable knowledge of the products and processes
Will be able to write accurate and concise reports, proposals.
Have an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Microsoft Project.
Experience of working in the Water Treatment industry will be an essential
Demonstrable experience in products such as pumps, screening, sewage treatment equipment and or aeration products will be beneficial
Level 5 Mechanical /Electrical or Civil Engineering

Job Role Responsibilities:

Operate directly with customers, suppliers, and internal Engineering, Fabrication production and sales teams to cost projects which meet customers technical and commercial requirements.
Produce accurate quotations that include margins, materials, labour, and other associated costs including subcontracted elements.

Proposals to include well written narrative on the technical aspects, the key benefits of the business and the technical aspects of the equipment selected.
Follow submission of proposals and proactively follow up client queries, and to make follow up enquiries to increase levels of customer interaction to secure orders
Upon contract win, participating in a launch meeting with the project delivery staff to hand over the project
Providing a detailed breakdown of the successful bid, technical risks and opportunities and support the PM with follow up queries through the early stages of the project lifecycle
