Job Description

Speech and Language TA | £95-105 Per Day | Nottingham NG16 | ASAP Start | Long TermAre you passionate about education and making a difference to the development of pupils with a range of special educational needsLTF Recruitment are partnered with a primary school within Nottingham (NG16) who are in search of a Speech and Language Specialist TA to support a student who needs 1:1 support with their speech and communication. With a supportive and friendly team, theschool offers an excellent surrounding to develop your skills and expand your career knowledge.Main duties will entail:

Working closely with a student to support speech and language within a mainstream classroom.
Working with a student requiring additional support both on a 1:1 basis and within smaller group environments.
Taking responsibility for the provision of care and appropriate learning opportunities for your designated child.
Supervising children at all times, protecting them from dangerous or harmful situations.
Liaise with the childs parent/carer, providing them with a daily activity record.

The ideal candidate will have:

A minimum of level 2 teaching assistant Qualification
Previous UK experience working with children in a school environment.
An excellent understanding of special educational needs including speech and language, ADHD, challenging behaviour, and developmental delays.
Calming mannerisms in challenging situations.
The ability to think and act quickly both as part of a team and independently.
Strong behaviour management skills while creating a fun learning environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
