Job Description

Do you have an eye for detail Do you enjoy working as part of a team Are you looking for a permanent role Are you organised and friendly Are you a team player with a drive to deliverWe have a number of exciting Operative roles working in our Pattern Book Making and Sampling department at our luxury, internationally renowned fabric and wallcovering design house.What will you be doing

  • Preparing swatches of fabric for distribution, including cutting, gluing and labelling the swatches
  • Cutting fabric using a variety of processes, tools and machines
  • Preparing and sticking tickets to pattern books
  • Gluing fabric and books together accurately
  • Keeping accurate records and updating systems
  • Moving and sorting products, materials, containers and orders using appropriate tools
  • Finishing fabric pieces by overlocking, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail

  • Starting on £10.51 per hour (£21,178 per annum), increasing to £11.47 per hour (£23,105 per annum)
  • Mon - Fri, 8:30 - 17:00 (flexi-time available)

To be successful in this role we are seeking candidates who are self-motivated, methodical and able to perform under pressure. You can be relied on to meet tight deadlines. You will have strong communication skills (written and verbal). You will be flexible and able to adapt to change at short notice.If you have experience of working with fabrics, overlocking, or experience of using Polytex cutting machines and /or Reliant Fiblon Machines, that would be preferable, but not essential.Whilst this is a full-time opportunity, candidates requiring flexible hours will also be considered.We value diversity and are committed to equal opportunities in employment.
