A sustainable food packaging manufacturer has an exciting opportunity for an NPD Technician.Have you ever wanted to break into the food manufacturing industryA passion for food, wanting to work with leading food clients, with an understanding packaging Then apply here!Fantastic training provided.We are looking for a highly creative, and organised candidate!The RoleYou will work closely with the sites and subcontractors in connection with the development and manufacturing of thermoforming tools, and be the link between New Product Development (NPD), Production and Sales.The position will involve some travel, mainly in connection with site and supplier visits. review new tray and pot designs with NPD and sales estimate tool layouts and supply tool costs as required on new projects order tooling and monitor external suppliers performance, review any technical issues, ensure tooling is to budget, on time and to Faerch Tooling specification supply tool delivery dates to planning to enable new tools to be run to customers timelines and progress tool data on the M3 computer system. support commissioning of new tools and approve new tools ensuring the products are to specification and record on commissioning checklist support quality with any customer and/or product complaints and implement tool changes/ improvements where required support production and toolroom with any tooling issues and implement continuous improvements on new and existing toolingThe Candidate self-motivated & eager to learn new skill strong communicator with the ability to create positive & collaborative relationships with production, customers and suppliers inquisitive mind, confident to constructively challenge existing working practices/processes, whilst maintaining deadlines structured & professional approach to all you do and ability to work in a dynamic environment confident to work independently with flexibility to adapt to business needs good IT knowledge & understanding; knowledge of design programs such as Solidworks or Unigraphics would be an advantage, but training would be provided good level of spoken and written English ideal background can be a toolmaker, industrial technician or similar technical roleBenefits
