Role: Technical ManagerLocation: NorfolkWorking Hours: 08:30 - 17:00 (Monday to Friday)Salary: up to £45,000 per annumOverviewISQ Recruitment is seeking a Technical Manager on behalf of a Food Manufacturing company in Norfolk. You will be a key part of the management team within the business, leading the Technical and QA function, taking responsibility for quality food standards,food safety, legal governance, and compliance.Liaise with customers, technical contacts, customer product development teams. Manage Technical and QA issues, ensuring food consistently meets technical and quality specification. Develop the technical strategy to implement any new systems or technology tosupport the ongoing growth of the business.Key Responsibilities* Oversee audits, including BRCGS, RSPO, HALAL, and regulatory standards.* Ensure company-wide compliance.* Validate Critical Control Points (CCP) biannually and take corrective actions.* Manage customer complaints and food safety incidents.* Conduct risk assessments, including allergen risk assessments.* Approve new suppliers and specifications.* Organise management review meetings.* Coordinate microbiological and nutritional testing.* Handle Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and product exports.Qualifications* Bachelors degree or similar in a relevant field.* Previous experience in technical role within food manufacturing, including BRC and retailer standards.* Strong verbal, written, and numerical skills.* Initiative-driven with adaptability.* Detail-oriented problem solver.Application ProcessTo apply, please submit a copy of your up-to-date CV clearly indicating your relevant experience.
