Job Description

Alexander Steele is working in partnership with a FMCG business based in WorcestershireThey are currently looking for a hands-on Health & Safety Manager to champion & lead the H&S agenda across the operation, someone who can influence at all levels across this unique business.We would consider candidates operating at a management or lead level and we would also consider experienced candidates who want to step up into their first management position.Responsibilities

  • Take reasonable care of the Health and Safety of yourself and others who may be affected by your actions.
  • Work in a safe manner and observe the Company Health and Safety Rules and Procedures.
  • Use/Drive machinery in a safe manner, observing rules and procedures.
  • Report to your Line Manager any incidents that have led to or could have led to injury or an accident or have affected the environment.
  • Report all injuries promptly reported to yourself at work and obtain the necessary first aid treatment.
  • Cooperate with Managers and other personnel of the Company to achieve a healthy and safe workplace environment.
  • Help in the investigation of accidents in order to prevent recurrence.
  • Observe the Company personal hygiene requirements.
  • Set an example of safe, correct behaviour
  • Report any hazard/defect you may observe promptly to your immediate Line Manager.
  • Report any shortcomings in systems of work or procedures to your Line Manager.
The Candidate:
  • NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum or any other relevant qualifications
  • Previous experience in Health and Safety legislation.
  • Preferably has worked in an FMCG environment
  • IOSH Qualified
Whats On Offer:
  • £46,000
  • Monday to Friday
  • 31 days annual leave (raising to 33 after 2 years service)
  • Quarterly Bonus
