Job Description

Jera IT is a dynamic and expanding IT Support and Cyber Security firm with offices based in Aberdeenshire, Edinburgh, and Glasgow. If you are on the hunt for an exciting IT Apprenticeship position, look no further!Jera IT are currently recruiting for their Edinburgh and Aberdeenshire offices. You will be assigned a mentor who will support you throughout your qualification to prepare you for a full-time role on their IT Service Desk team. This position will involveproviding technical support for Jera IT customers from initial set up to remote testing and fixing faults.You will be responsible for:

  • Answering customer calls, evaluating nature of technical issues to resolve quickly, or escalating to Jera’s second line support
  • Providing first line support for IT issues including networking faults, setting up new users, password resets and software issues
  • Installing, repairing and supporting all end user clients including desktops, laptops, netbooks etc
  • Ensuring all asset records and documentation are kept accurate and up-to-date
  • Re-imaging desktop clients, updating and patching client software
  • Supporting netbooks/laptops and other wireless clients where appropriate
You will need the following skills:
  • A keen eye for detail
  • A passion for IT and technology
  • Strong communication skills
Salary: £16,000 per annumWorking week:35 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am – 5pmBenefits:
