Finance AnalystFuelNewport Pagnell, Milton Keynes, MK16 9EZSalaryup to £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)Full time role. Hybrid working model. Were looking for a Finance Analyst to join us and play a key role in building and maintaining the team which surrounds our Fuel offering at Welcome Break.The role is a key role within Welcome Break finance team, providing financial control and analysis to enhance the profitability of its fuel business on the Motorway Service Areas (MSAs) and Trunk Road Service Areas (TRSAs). Specifically, the role willsupport the operation of petrol forecourts within Welcome Break, with the possibility of supporting more sites, as the business looks to grow and expand organically.Working alongside the Senior Fuel Finance Analyst and the junior finance analyst, both based in the support centre (Vantage Court), you will use your skills to ensure a sound control environment for fuel, produce the monthly accounts for the area, and tellthe story behind the numbers. In turn you will enhance the performance and profitability across Welcome Break.You will be responsible for:

• 1 direct reportour junior accountant position
• Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting of Litres and Margin performance.
• Month end accounts and Board reports, Production of pricing, Stock valuation and review, Budgeting and Forecasting
• Ad hoc analysisi.e., Fuel Promo impact and performance analysis / Impact of Valero contract for secondary tanks.
• Platts formula calculation, control, and update.
• Fuel supply invoice approval and issue resolution
• Providing insightful business analysis to help drive the profitability of fuelexpected as part of monthly management meetings and analysis of brand/site performance
• Investigation and resolution of accounting and data integrity issues E.g., source to sun reconciliations and missing batches

About youIdeally we are looking for someone who has:

• Part qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) with a desire to learn and progress.
• Knowledge of Vision Q&A or similar experience of writing ledger queries advantageous.
• Good working knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, Sumif formulas etc)
• Experience in working in a fast-paced Catering and Retail business.
• Experience presenting financial information to non-finance business partners; and
• Multi-/site retail experience would all be an advantage.
