The Role: Wayleaves Officer / ManagerLocation: Stoke on TrentPackage: £35 - 40,000 & BenefitsThis is a new role that has been created for an international business that is building state of the art fibre networks in the UK. They are the owner of the network, so client side and we need to bring someone in on a permanent basis to own the civils function in the business. Its an all rounder with the right attitude and ability to spin a lot of plates. Its a blend of administration, officer and management but you will be the wayleave department of one - for now, but with a lot of opportunity as the company are growing quickly across the country so you would be in a great place to set the scene and lead this function but with the support of the rest of the PMO, project and build teams. These are joint venture build projects in conjunction with the local authority and supported by both the business, local council and government meaning the relationship with the LAs is on the front foot, and hopefully offers a strong advantage to the red tape often associated with build programmes. As wayleaves manager, youll own all new wayleaves and consents but will write the book by way of process and that is both internally and with associated partners. This is going to be a fast moving, roll out but with a strong eye on quality, so you should be well versed in a similar telecoms environment and you`ll be able to point to a track record of delivering on time and within budget.Goes without saying, negotiation skills are going to be key with the goal of reaching agreements in respect of FTTP Fibre/Civils/Telecommunications design and project delivery but its that ability to roll up your sleeves, join something early and help it to scale that is key. Youll be well versed with the electronic communications code and also, the NRSWA.Company are well funded, growing rapidly in the UK market but a leading player around Europe, so offers the chance for a wayleaves manager to join the patch early, play a part in the scalability and process and then hopefully be in a strong position in the coming months and years as they continue to grow in the UK.
