* Professional and well-presented individual* A knowledge of engineering design principles* An understanding of manufacturing process and construction methodsOur client is seeking a Trainee CAD Draughtsperson to train to be able to facilitate the design and production of complex drawings for clients. The role also assists in other areas where CAD work is required. Working in a team is an excellent role for recentcollege students or graduates, the scope of the role and the opportunity to grow and develop has great potential. This role will suit a college leaver or Postgraduate who has pursued an education in product design or a similar course where the use of CAD hasbeen an essential element. There may also be the opportunity to travel for site visits once trained.* Taking customer drawings, interpreting them, and being able to import them into the CAD system and develop them into 3D models or use the information within them to determine dimensions for 3D models.* Using captured survey data, create a full 3D model using the CAD system (SolidWorks). In a structured way create the underlying structure. Produce a full 3D CAD model of the proposed product.* Use your own initiative and artistic flair to create featured parts to look as good as possible and be practical to produce. Use advanced surface modeling techniques to achieve results where required.* Occasional travel to the site throughout the UK to liaise with clients about technical issues relevant to specific projects or to carry out site surveys (this may on occasion involve overnight stays and/or working additional hours to complete surveys)* Using Creaform 3D Digital Laser Scanning Equipment and Software* Critical analysis of the CAD model to identify limitations and areas of concern that may require further remedial work. Discuss issues with customers as required and find resolutions.* Prepare full working drawings for factory and site fitters in line with company standards of presentation. These will show all parts detailed as an assembly with part numbers. Prepare Part labels for the production team.* Using SolidCam, import individual parts into the CAM system. Complete a list of parts in Excel* Provide a list to the production team with all appropriate details to enable them to progress.* Provide, where required visuals for customers, in the form of CAD Model Files, 3D PDF, and PDFs.* Prepare rendered photorealistic images of parts using SolidWorks rendering functions.* CAM: stand in for and/or assist CAM programming as required to meet the needs of the department* Review enquiries and CAD drawings to determine to create a list of required parts and prepare a detailed quote for the customer.* Lift heavy measuring equipment to and from the vehicle and when on-site, up and down several flights of stairs using appropriate manual handling techniques.Candidate Requirements: * Understanding of complex drawings* Have knowledge of drawing principles and geometry creation to enable effective CAD work.* Have experience in creating drawings using a 2D or 3D drawing package such as AutoCAD LT, Civil 3D, Autodesk Architecture, CATIA, SolidWorks, 3ds, or similar.* A professional and well-presented individual* Full clean driving license* A knowledge of engineering design principles* Good maths and IT skills* Good communication skills* An understanding of manufacturing processes and construction methods* Good problem-solving skills* Creative ability* The ability to work as part of a team* The ability to meet deadlines Hours: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm(37.25 hours per week)Salary: £20,200 Per AnnumBrampton Recruitment is an independent Commercial and Accounts & Finance recruitment agency working in partnership with employers spanning Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, Cheshire, and the Greater Manchester region.
