Job Description

We are looking for a Warehouse / Production Manager to join our team and oversee the running of our busy warehouse and production operations at our main site in Stoke on Trent.Easy Composites Ltd is small but fast-growing manufacturer and distributor of composite materials and equipment with diverse warehouse and production operations including the assembly of electrical equipment, manufacture and cutting of composite sheet materials,decanting/packaging of resin products, fabric rolling, order pick/pack and general stock handling.The successful candidate will be overseeing and coordinating the efficient day-to-day operations of small teams across sheet production, equipment assembly, decanting, batching/preparation, order pick/pack, goods in/out.As a small company with a wide scope and a dynamic approach, we thrive on actions more than words. The successful candidate, like the rest of the management team, can expect a never-dull, think-on-your-feet, hands-on position where they can really make adifference, and be recognised for it.Responsibilities

  • Overseeing all warehouse and production departments to ensure safe and efficient operation
  • Managing the production and warehouse teams to achieve targets/schedules (25 direct reports)
  • Getting involved on the shop-floor to solve problems, correct mistakes and pitch-in as required
  • Dealing with suppliers and working with Purchasing and Goods-In colleagues to uphold quality and maintain accurate inventory
  • Extensively using our ERP system for accurate stock adjustments, work-orders, assembly builds, BOM changes, scheduling and prioritisation
  • Working with the Operations Manager to coordinate large intercompany exports
  • Upholding standards of safety, quality and maintenance across warehouse and production departments.

  • A natural communicator, both written and verbal, who brings out the best in people
Required Experience
  • Experience managing teams within a busy warehouse or manufacturing environment
  • Experience of stock management systems, ERP/MRP
  • Hands-on warehouse experience organising and handling stock (fork-lift an advantage)
  • Good IT skills (MS Office)
