Job Description

(2016 - 2021)Looking to join a brand that is passionate about its employees, where virtually no day is the same Then we have the perfect role for you here at IDS, the UKs largest distributor of surfacing materials, specialising in flooring, worktops, laminates, panel products and solid surfacing.We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Warehouse Operative to join our team at IDS Stoke. You will use your dedication and enthusiasm to ensure that products are safely unloaded, accurately booked-in, carefully picked and packed ready for daily deliveries, whilst strictly adhering to Company Health and Safety procedures and Business Controls.As a Warehouse Operative with IDS, you will:

  • Ensure all discrepancies are identified.
  • Pick goods for outgoing orders and place in loading bay.
  • Load company vehicles and work with a small team
  • Follow company procedures to action any nil stocks accordingly.
  • Prepare for and carry out regular Stocktakes in accordance with Company stock take procedure.
  • Operate a Forklift Truck, if a holder of a current FLT licence and ATO.
  • Provide general Housekeeping.

  • Have a full understanding of Company Procedures and requirements.
  • Have good Numeracy and Literacy skills.
  • Good attention to detail.

  • Hold FLT licenses - would be preferred, though training will be offered to the successful applicant where necessary.
